Welcome to
Bushwick has a rich history of immigrants building a rich life full of entertainment, industry, and innovation. Things began to slowly decline for the area but it was when the infamous blackout occurred in 1977 when Bushwick was hit the hardest and required to start fresh. It’s then that, over many years, artists began making Bushwick their home.
This neighborhood has a unique vibe full of vibrant streets surrounded by art, not just on the old factory walls, but also in art galleries.
Well-known restaurants surround Bushwick, among them a wide variety of Hispanic and Latin American food.
Bushwick is served by nearby subway stations including L, M, J, and Z lines with multiple stops.
26 Cypress represent the creators, entrepreneurs and innovators that run through the veins of Bushwick and keep it’s heart pumping. It is those trailblazers that are constantly pushing Bushwick forward, keeping it alive and on the top of the NY’s list of “best places to be.”
It is for artists, collaborators, and visionaries who see the beauty and opportunity in Bushwick. Our space is a space for them. To develop their craft, to share it, and to create a better life for themselves and the rest of us.
